Frequently Asked Questions

Manufacturing & Specifications

Where are our watches produced?

We use a combination of production partners:

  • The watch is assembled in Japan using Japanese components. Everything from the case, to the dial, hands, crown and buckle are produced in Japan.

  • The movement inside the Series A watch is Swiss Made.

  • The leather straps are produced by Jean Rousseau in France.

What type of movement does the watch use?

The Series A uses a Sellita SW210 which is manual-wind Swiss mechanical movement with a 42-hour power reserve.

How do I wind my watch?

The crown should be wound in the pushed-in position. It takes about 25 turns to fully wind the movement. You will feel a strong resistance when the watch is fully wound.

How do I set the time?

The crown has a pulled-out position dedicated to setting the time. Please be careful to push the crown back in immediately after setting the time, as moisture can enter the watch when the crown is pulled out.

Is the Series A waterproof?

The Series A case is waterproof to 5 ATM (Atmospheres). This means you can swim with it, but you should not dive with it.

Ownership & Care

Where are Temporal Works pieces available to purchase?

Temporal Works watches are available exclusively at The Armoury, via their New York and Hong Kong shops, as well as thearmoury.com

What is the warranty on my watch?

The One-Year guarantee of your watch covers any defects occurring within one year from the date of purchase resulting from defective parts or workmanship.

Our watches are assembled in Japan with the best materials and techniques to ensure the best performance and durability. Every watch is tested and verified before shipment. In the unlikely event of a fault please contact: info@temporalworks.com

How do I get my watch serviced?

We used a Sellita SW210 which is a manual-wind Swiss mechanical movement, which is easily serviceable at your local watch repair shop. Please reach out to your local authorized retailer for recommendations.

What if I get dings and scratches on the watch?

The Series A features a special type of polishing known as ‘Zaratsu’ polishing, which is done at the manufacturing stage in Japan, therefore we cannot offer factory level polishing after purchase. We believe that inevitable dings and scratches are your imprint on the object, and they make the watch your own. If you’d like to have your watch polished, we’d recommend speaking to a local watch repair shop.
